This Privacy Policy explains how DetailDesk (the “Service”), operated by Dream Boldly Studios (“we,” “us”), collects, uses, and shares information. DetailDesk is a booking and scheduling platform used by mobile auto-detailing businesses (our “customers”) to manage appointments with their own clients.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — when a business owner or staff member signs up, we collect a name, email address, and (optionally) a phone number, along with a hashed password.
- Business information — your business name, hours, services, pricing, branding, and settings.
- Booking information — details that you or your clients enter to schedule appointments, including a client’s name, phone number, email address, service address, vehicle details, and appointment history.
- Usage information — basic technical data such as log and device information generated when the Service is used.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- To create and manage bookings and to send appointment confirmations, reminders, and related notifications by SMS and email;
- To authenticate users and secure accounts;
- To respond to support requests and communicate about the Service;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS & email communications
The Service sends transactional messages (such as booking confirmations and reminders) on behalf of our customers. Our customers are responsible for obtaining any consent required to contact their clients. We do not sell contact information or use it for unrelated marketing.
4. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the Service, including with service providers who process data on our behalf — for example, cloud hosting and database providers, and SMS and email delivery providers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service. We do not sell personal information.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and as required to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When a user is removed, associated login access is deleted.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including password hashing and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices & account deletion
Account owners can update business and user information from the dashboard. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting detaildeskapp@gmail.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email.
